Himalaya: The Journal of the Association for Nepal and Himalayan Studies

HIMALAYA, the Journal of the Association for Nepal and Himalayan Studies, publishes peer reviewed original research articles, short field reports, perspectives pieces, book and film reviews, reports on meetings and conferences, alongside literature and photo essays from the region. All original research articles are submitted to a rigorous peer review process.

Truly interdisciplinary and trans-regional in scope, HIMALAYA is committed to covering all aspects of Himalayan Studies, including the natural and social sciences, humanities, and creative arts.

The University of Edinburgh Library provides funding for the basic operational costs of the Edinburgh Diamond service. The journal itself receives no direct funding, either internally or externally, instead relying on volunteer labour for editorial and production management.
