Financial Information

The journal business model is collaborative: each institution contribute to the journal by providing in-kind (in total 10 professional desk editors working for the equivalent of 4.7 EFT) for copy-editing, layout, proofreading, XMLising and publishing. All scientific tasks (editors / reviewers) are not included in the costs as they are part of the mission of the scientist. Around 40 editors (editor-in-chief, topical editors, section editors) contribute to the journal. Management costs (maintenance of the website, peer-review platform, XML processing, Crossref subscription, etc.) are equally supported by the committed institutions, and represent around €2,000 per year per institution.
