Global Health: Science and Practice Journal

Global Health: Science and Practice (GHSP) is a resource for public health professionals who design, implement, manage, evaluate, and otherwise support health programs around the world, especially those in low- and middle-income countries. GHSP fills an important gap in the scholarly literature for evidence and experience from health programs implemented under real-world conditions, with specifics on the “how” of implementation—lessons and detail that are often buried in gray literature or not documented at all.

Global Health: Science and Practice was previously fully funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development - a fund that was closed in 2025. The journal is currently only partially supported by the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) with volunteer editors. CCP is currently pursuing multiple funding opportunities, including individual donations; funding secured so far does not fully meet the journal's publishing costs.
